Two Day Trek One Night Home Stay
Tour Code:

Day One: Sapa -silver waterfall - Heaven gate - Ban khoang -  Xa Xeng village

Take a short but spectacular 12km drive in a Russian Jeep to the Silver Waterfalls. From the falls you can experience the stunning view of the surrounding mountains and the lush forest.

Back into the jeep for a brief uphill drive to the Heaven’s Gate Pass (Tram Ton Pass). The Heaven’s Gate is the highest pass in Vietnam (2047m). Witness the spectacular view of the valleys and views of the highest mountain (3143m) in Vietnam and South-East Asia – Fan Si Pan, the ‘Roof of Indochina’.

The tour returns from the pass down towards Sa Pa for 4km. We will join the hiking trail where it separates from the main road and begin our 17km (6 hours) trek, walking for 6km through the alpine jungle, arriving in Ban Khoang village where you will be able to meet some members of the minority Red Dao Hill Tribes. On the other side of the village, Nature has provided us with a beautiful, natural swimming pool where we will enjoy a picnic and a refreshing swim.

The trek then gets a little challenging as you walk between the rice paddies before heading uphill and crossing the river by bamboo bridge to another peaceful village nestled in the Xa Xeng Valley. Meet with your Red Dao homestay family and relax, indulge if you want in a tribal sauna and have dinner with your family (of course your guide will be able to do the translating for you to ensure everyone can share their stories) before a nice sleep in our comfortable sleeping area (mattresses, blankets and mosquito netting).

Day Two: Xa Xeng - Taxco - Vu Lung Sung - Sapa

Roosters crowing, water buffalos lowing will get you up in the morning, along with the other animals in the hill tribe’s village. A delicious breakfast and then begin your second day of trekking – 13kms (4 hours) - on the easy paths down to the Black H’mong tribal village of Taxco. Take the opportunity to learn how the Black H’mong weave their clothes out of hemp and dye them with the indigo plants t Vu lung sung village. Your trek then continues along the valley floor and through the rice terraces, ending with a hot shower in Sa Pa around 3pm.
